best shelf on the market

Although somewhat tricky to assemble since the parts are a little cumbersome and the joints have to be worked in a certain manner so that they click, I put it together by myself on two occassions, I loved it so much, I ordered a second one and turned two messy closets next to the kitchen , into two great uncluttered, organized pantrys, higgly recommended although buyer beware, I’m only 5’2″ thus I had to “sweat” a little.

I’m so impressed with this shelving unit. It’s well-made, extra-sturdy, and easy to assemble. We’re using 2 units for food storage and like it so much, we decided to remove the wood shelves in the pantry and replace them with one of these. With a little bit of effort we were able to shimmy it in and it has turned an oddly-shaped pantry into a useful space. It’s handsome, looks almost built-in and can hold a lot. The only draw-back is that slim packages slip through the wires. Perhaps a sheet of plexiglass would solve the problem. Remember to protect your floors with cardboard when you are putting the units together. The shelves are heavy-duty & they could scratch the floor if you are not careful.

I bought these to store stuff we can’t quite part with but don’t want out of a closet – boxes full of textbooks and reams of paper. Although we’re nowhere near the 200 pound limit, there are a lot of heavy things stacked on the book shelf, and it’s completely stable. As a side note, the part of the bar that touches the ground has 4 adjustable screws that go in, which has made putting this up in an uneven basement closet much easier than I would have expected. These are also attractive enough (to me) to put in our basement entertainment room for storing kids stuff.
